Responding in Joy. . .

This morning  my devotional was in Habakkuk what an example he set with the attitude by choosing not to let the problems defeat him, but he exulted in the Lord, rejoicing in his security and hope which weren't temporal blessings but blessings strictly from the Lord himself.

Habakkuk 3:17 -19 (NASB) "Though the fig tree should not blossom and there be no fruit on the vine, Though the yield of the olive should fail, and the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold and there be no cattle in the stalls, 18 Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. 19 The Lord God is my strength , And He has made my feet like hinds' feet, And makes me walk on my high places. For the choir director,on my stringed instruments."

Now that is faith, the Lord equipped Habakkuk to endure the hardships of the imminent invasion and keeping him sure footed while scaling the mountain of other trials too. So that is my prayer for today is that I will strive for the faith that Habakkuk demonstrated and rejoice amongst all of life's trials.

So on the health front side of things, I underwent the first phase of testing for this 2 week period yesterday and received a transfusion without any troubles. A huge answered to our prayers. I also had the special blessing of visiting Johnny and spreading a few hugs to several other friends as well. I am so grateful to have such a great community surrounding me! Thank you.
I will undergo a  few more tests today, praying they will come back negative if that is the Lord's will at this time. My lungs are still really congested and am still going in for respiratory therapy twice, including use of the compression vest which seems to continue to help break the thick mucus up a bit. Mrs. Bryan is also perfecting her percussion skills quite nicely. Her barber skills shined as she made sense out my new patch work upon my noggin!

Off and away to clinic I go hi- ho. . .  Singing "Rejoice in the Lord always and again I say rejoice. . . . "

  1. You are such an example for me, and my family.
I love my notecards. And I received a nice note from your Mother. (She sure didn't need to do that!) I did notice your hair, it looks nice. :) In His joy,
