The port is out
for this we sigh and shout
For Monday chemo and radiation we will start
So finding a good vein for now is the hard part
Beating rhythmically again is the heart
Knowing now the port removal decision was smart
Oh did I mention sleep
Wonderfully blessed by no night marathon running or waking at a minimal peep
So thankfulness and joy has filled my heart
Honestly on this note I am not wanting this next phase to start
My thoughts seem to wander
On each little upcoming thing I ponder
Reminded that ultimately the mighty Physician is control
So. . . I will quit being an anxious soul
He blessed me with this next treatment
Pressing on you will find me through this next regiment
